Valley Storm Sequence

Unfortunately, I was out and about without a tripod for these photos. Otherwise I might have been able to include some cool lightning shots. However, these shots represent bits of what happened in the Salt Lake Valley within an hour (my camera logs the time of each shot taken) on Sunday, June 6th.

8:37 p.m.
It has to start somewhere . . .

8:44 p.m.
. . . often preceded by vivid colors.

9:19 p.m.
The raindrops are swallowed in its darkest moment here.

9:32 p.m.
It cannot be contained - by clouds, or by the treasure chest of city lights.

9:33 p.m.
Light always seems to find its way back . . .

9:34 p.m.
. . . into the picture. This time, just before nightfall.

9:35 p.m.
A peaceful beginning, a peaceful ending. Glorious valley storm.
